Bringing alcohol to the ship and home

Okay - did a search but didn't find anything, help me out.

I'm leaving in the morning and I bought some booze to smuggle onto the ship, my question is - will I have a problem bringing it in my carry-on on my flight? I don't want to put it into my checked luggage for the flight, and I don't want it to get confiscated by airline security either.

The only thing I've noticed is that most airlines won't allow alcohol over 100 proof or so (151 rum, for sure!) in carry-on OR checked baggage, since they consider it a flammable liquid.

Best advice is to call the airline's 800 number and ask what their policy is.
