Platinum perks are listed below. For each actual Milestone cruise (25, 50, 75, 100) you receive that amount as OBC (25% of the base rate) up to 100% on the 100th cruise. Does not have to be used on that cruise but you have 18 months to use it. All Milestone guests receive the Platinum perks. The new loyalty program is supposed to be announced this year.

Past Guest Recognition Program

Platinum Guest Level Benefits

Available exclusively to Platinum Guest cardholders who have sailed aboard the Fun Ships ten times or more, Carnival’s Past Guest Recognition Program benefits are designed to recognize and reward those longtime Carnival guests for their loyalty over the years. These extra perks, privileges and benefits will be offered, starting on the tenth cruise and future cruises thereafter.

For your information, sometime in mid-2012, we will roll out a new Past Guest Recognition Program. Even though we do not have details to share at this time, current Platinum and Milestone guests will be grandfathered into the new corresponding levels.

Platinum Guests will receive a personalized Welcome Aboard communication detailing the exclusive perks, privileges and benefits available during their cruise - these Platinum benefits are just one way of showing our appreciation.

I'm so tired of all the speculation. Wish Carnival would just come out with their new loyalty program or do you think they are revamping it again due to recent cruise disasters in the news?

Shoot: We don't have enough proof that we sailed the Mardi Gras in 1985. All we can find are photos a luggage tag and a receipt from the TA that don't specify Carnival Mardi Gras. That would bring us from 24 days to 31 days. Darn. [Thats not the word i wanted to use]. We will tear the house apart looking for Doc's. Back then They were like a dinner check.

dont feel bad, I have 3 that dont count from Carnival in the 80s.

You dont know that the ones in the past will be counted by the day either. RCL counted each cruise X 7 for ones you already did, and going forward then started to count by the day, plus they threw in 4 extra points during the conversion.

it could easily be like RCL did it so people didnt complain

We received a survey in September that was about the new loyalty program. It did indicate that there would be four levels and would be based on numbers of days and not numbers of cruises. The numbers listed above are what was on the survey. From the Carnival TA site:

For your information, sometime in mid-2012, we will roll out a new Past Guest Recognition Program. Even though we do not have details to share at this time, current Platinum and Milestone guests will be grandfathered into the new corresponding levels.

I think it's finally going to happen this year.

There are a few things that apparently are going to happen, or not. There will be no free internet. The new ship specific pins will be given to the top two tiers and there is supposed to be a new party for at least Milestone but it could be Platinum too. It will be interesting since we'll be in the top tier in September.

The survey I saw asked for opinions about "potential" changes, not specific set plans.

If this is the case and the 4th tier is Milestone - we are screwed.

Currently we have 22 CCL cruises under our belt totaling 137 days. If Milestone now begins at 225 days, I would have to take 12 more 7 days cruises to reach Milestone instead of they way it is now, 3 more cruises! I have a feeling this is going to totally BLOW! The majority of my cruises have been 7 dayers. :( :( :(

If you hadnt cruise with RCCL those 2 times:DJK...... Im in the same boat since I cruised 6 of the last 8 times on RCCL

If it helps any......If they do the conversion similar NCL/RCCL you should have @ least 154/167 days

Did anyone here see the three different sets of possible new sail & sign cards? They were sent out last year.

Yes we received the survey and the three Sign & Sail cards listed are: Fun FLeet, Sailblazers, and V.I.F.P. (Very Important Fun Person). There are also names for the four levels.

Fun Fleet - Celebration, Festivale, Jubilee, and Mardi Gras.

Sailblazers - Cruiser, Explorer, Adventurer, and Globetrotter.

V.I.F.P. Club - Funlover, Funatic, Funnoisseur, and Funbassador

There are no levels called Platinum or Milestone so I don't think it really matters what level you are currently. I really believe that the current perks will change, and have already, and maybe some will go to the second level, some to the third, and even to the fourth. Plus, there will be additional perks especially for the top tiers.

Can't wait to see the changes.
