cdamion Posted March 13, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2012 Has anyone ever e-mailed the Ocean Players Club (to check about any perks) as far out as 10 months ?? We are booked for 1/17/2013. I usually wait until about 4 months out. Given their long turn-around times to respond these days, it couldn't hurt.

heffa72 Posted March 13, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I knew this a lifetime ago, but what is the deal with ocean players club? I signed up a few cruses ago but forgot all about it. Do you need to contact the players club before you go on the cruise and they send you a welcome gift?
Elmo31 Posted March 13, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I have always sent them a email before we cruise. This time it is taking quite a long time for a response. If I dont hear from them in a few more weeks I guess I will call them.

If I dont hear from them in a few more weeks I guess I will call them. Did you email Michael at the address above, or through the site? I did not receive a response to two emails from the site. I emailed Michael and got a response about a week later; however, I had already called and somebody else helped me out after I waited on hold for about 5 minutes. I had my Princess & Carnival past guest numbers handy, so it was a pretty quick call.

goingsailing Posted March 13, 2012 #12 Share Posted March 13, 2012 Hello, I emailed OPC 8 months before my upcoming cruise and Alina Lenz got back to me within a couple of weeks. I emailed through their website at the time. I included my past cruisers number and all the dates and ships I cruised on, also my upcoming cruise booking number and dates along with my cabin number. I was eligible for some perks! Good luck!
CRUISE4JANE Posted March 13, 2012 #13 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I emailed a few months ago (cruising in July) and I got a pretty quick response (2 or 3 days). I am only entitled to a box of candy which will be in my cabin when I cruise :).

It seems that since they 'updated' their site recently, they have not been responding to people who send messages via the website. I suspect some kind of snafu in the system. roseaxel Posted March 13, 2012 #16 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I e-mailed Michael at the Carnival Players club last night about our cruise in May. I already received a reply from him today that we will have casino cash. I was impressed by the quick response. I also printed out the e-mail just in case the casino doesn't have the information. Last cruise we had casino cash, but we also got strawberries twice, a photo coupon, wine at dinner one night, free drinks in the casino and a plate of sweets one other night.(all those things were not mentioned when I contacted the CPC last time). I think the casino host sent all that. I'll be happy with just the casino cash, but those strawberies are pretty darn good, too.
JennLuvs2Cruise Posted March 13, 2012 #17 Share Posted March 13, 2012 You will notice or hear that emailing takes quite a bit for a response and sometimes the offer does not go through successfully. I always call them and provide my information over the phone and they are able to tell me right away what my family and I are eligible for. The representative will then email me a confirmation. Do you need to contact the players club before you go on the cruise and they send you a welcome gift? We are not big time gamblers, but we do like to play the slots. The last time I contacted the OPC, we had a dozen chocolate covered strawberries in our room, an invitation to a free slots tournament, free drinks and a free picture. I was shocked, but thrilled. Thanks for the direct email link! Happy Sailing and Good Luck................................... I had a response today in about 3 hours! Wow! We are not whales, either, moderate I'd say. Michael's email said we were each receiving a nice 3 digit casino cash and to go to the cashier cage and get it! Nice! :D. They must be working on some faster response times! bumorgan Posted March 14, 2012 #24 Share Posted March 14, 2012 What information do you give in your email to Michael? You need to tell them the date and name of the ship from your last cruise. Also the booking # of your future cruise, date of sailing and ship name. If you know your past guest # add that also.
