Looking at the deck plans where the bar is either side looks like a door way,

 

do you think this a door,

 

is the bar sanctuary only, or is the area forward sanctuary, but the rest adults only

To me the bar looks to be part of the adult pool (The Retreat) then the doors leading into the Sanctuary.

That was my thought as well, the doors past the bar are sanctuary access. Makes a lot of sense to have a convenient bar near the sanctuary area (one of the issues on the Island was how far the servers had to go to get some things)

When we were on the Emerald a few weeks ago, one of the attendants in the sanctuary was telling us all about it as he will be part of the launch crew, from what he was showing us on his well-used plan and looking at the online plan the whole area is sanctuary, it all looks great, we just hope they don’t put the cost up we love the sactuary

The Retreat Pool and the surrounding area is adults only and free to use, the bar is part of this area. On either side of the bar are entrance doors/gate to the Sanctuary.

We were on the Emerald for 20 days in Feb. and the staff was so sweet!

 

The staff on the Emerald is exceptional and I have a feeling Princess knows this and sends their top staff to "open" new ships.
