Air Travel To Venice, Italy?

Recommended Posts

I have not had time to read all the posts, but my reccomendation would be to fly US Air from Tampa to Venice via Philadelphia.

US Air offers one non-stop flight a day each way between Philadelphia and Venice and the cost is usually comparable, if not cheaper, than Delta from JFK.

Changing in the US is usually easier than changing in Europe and Philadelphia is smaller than JFK (although you have to change terminals.)

We were on the Breeze in August and took US Air to Barcelona, returning from Venice and were pleasantly surprised, both with the international terminal in Philadelphia and the service and comfort on US Air.

That's the choice I have right now either.....

USAir: Tampa - Philly - Venice and then Barcelona - Philly - Tampa

or

Delta: Tampa - JFK - Venice and then Barcelona - JFK - Tampa

And both are at the same rate too!

Have you checked Rome lately, or have you completely ruled that out? The trenitalia fare to Venice is only 29 E and if you haven't been to Rome before, or even if you have, there is a lot to do and it's much cheaper than Venice.

Rome won't work for us as we already have our first night hotel booked in Venice.
