Has anyone used Barcelona day tours? If so what did you like them and do they have English speaking guides? We will be in Barcelona 2 days pre cruise and want to see as much as we can.

Hi Larry, we used them last Sept n will likely use them again this Oct . We did a 1/2 day tour around Barcelona with Christian in his Merc, pick us from the airport visited Casa Mila, Mountjuic, Parc Guell & Santa Maria del Mar, drove around Eixample, Port Olympic N Sagrada Familia before depositing us at our hotel. We also joined 4 members in our roll call and did a great Cava n Monserrat Tour in a minivan.

Both drivers cum guide are english speaking and did their very best to show us around, amiable to our needs, pick us & drop us off wherever we want when possible. What a lovely start to our Solstice cruise !

Enjoy.

We had a group of eight from our CC roll call take a tour with Barcelona Day Tours. Our guide picked us up promptly, introduced himself, and had us all comfortable in minutes. We drove through Barcelona seeing some lesser known places and Sagrada Familia, then headed to Montserrat Monastery. Near Montserrat, he made a stop at a very old chapel. That was one of my favorites of the day. The views were spectacular. On the way back to the ship we had time at Gaudi Parc, stopped to admire some of Gaudi's buildings, and stopped at the site of the Olympic Games. Our guide directed us into the foyer of one building along the way to see beautiful tile and a carved staircase. He watched over us the whole time to make sure we were enjoying the tour. We have good memories of that tour.

I just used the a few weeks ago and had a wonderful experience :D. The day was perfect. We did the Montserrat and Cova full day and enjoyed every minute. Our driver was very nice and spoke English and was very informative.

We have read excellent reviews about Barcelona Day Tours as well. We are planning to stay in Barcelona at the end of our Med cruise in late October (the 25th). What was enticing to us was that they will pick you up at the port, take the tour and then drop you off at your hotel at the end (no need for shuttles, taxis etc.) Figured it was a great way to see all the highlights and Montserrat in one day. Then we can go back to see more indepth any intriguing sites. But for first timers to the area, we will be certain to have seen it ALL. We do still have a few opeinings on our tour, if interested email me at dbberman at comcast dot net. Will be happy to forward the info to you.

We have booked with Barcelona Day Tours for a half day trip to Montserrat, pick up from ship at 8:30am (MS Ryndam). Anyone else interested in joining us please contact the tour company directly. From all reviews, they seem to provide excellent tours in small groups, which appeals more to us than a large bus tour.

We have booked with Barcelona Day Tours for their City Highlight and Montserrat tour. They pick up from ship/port at 8:30am (Carnival Breeze). Anyone else interested in joining us please contact the tour company directly. The best part is that they will pick you up and then drop you off where ever you choose (hotel, airport etc). We were referred to them from friends who used them. They provide just the perfect tour tours in smaller groups, which is far more favorable than a large group in a tour bus.

We have just returned from a cruise where we had 1 1/2 days at Barcelona and took the Half Day Tour on the first afternoon. We were picked up from the Cruise Terminal and taken around in an air-conditioned coach with driver and guide. The tour included all the highlights of Barcelona and we were able to return the next day to visit La Famiglia in more depth (a must). Our tour guide, Kristian, was one of the best tour guides we have experienced, very knowledgeable, very passionate, very well spoken and with a great sense of humour. We only wish we had had more time to spend in this beautiful city and would thoroughly recommend this company, and especially their guide Kristian.

We too are taking a 4 hour tour/pickup from the airport when we arrive in Barcelona pre-cruise. We will have the next day to tour. Did you book you have both days reserved or did you reserve the second day after you got there? Didy ou tour any on your own?

I was told by another cruiser that this was too agressive of a day and we would spend way too much time driving to Monsterrat and was a waste of precious time and we should concentrate on seeing BArcelona only. We really want to see as much as possible. Did you feel the 99 euro per person was worth the money? Thanks!

Folks, let's stay on the topic of the original question which is about a specific tour company.

And btw, tour shares are only allowed on your roll call. No where else on this website. Thanks for your cooperation.

Our messages to Barcelona Day Tours during the past week inquiring about tours have not been answered. Anybody else have the same problem? We want to use them after having read such great reviews, buy are losing confidence.

I have also been emailing them the past two days, with no reply. I hope they are not overwhelmed with business! The days our ship is in port, there will be at least 4 other ships, so I'm just wondering...
