helicopter Posted March 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2012 I was just reading another review where they said if you order a 'classic cocktail' at any bar and then take your receipt to the Casino they will give you a chip for the table games. Anyone know anything about this? And what is considered a 'classic coktail'? The particular ship they were on was the Magic:)
LilMissScareAll Posted March 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2012 For us, they stamped our receipt whenever we ordered drinks that qualified. http://zydecocruiser.net/Carnival-Bar-Menu/CarnivalCruiseBarMenu.htm Classic Cocktail are on the link above. We also got a stamp on our receipt when we ordered 2 Bacardi & Diet at Punchliners Comedy. We also got the "Zany Zombie" at Puchliners and got stamped ETA: when I orderd only 1 Bacardi & Diet, I did not get the stamp. Not sure if it was b/c I didn't spend enough? Ksea1961 Posted March 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2012 I have read this as well. I think it's the cocktail that winds up costing around $15 with the souvenier glass. You get a $5 chip, take it to the casino and they will match a $5 bet that you place. Maybe someone else will comment who knows for sure!
dcdiva Posted March 20, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 20, 2012 They offered this promo on the Victory as well. The "classic" cocktails are listed on the bar menu as either Long Island Iced Tea, Mojito, Ultimate Margarita, The Cruiser (vodka, malibu and peach schnapps), Mai Tai or Sex on the Beach. It rings up on your reciept as 'classic cocktai". Bring the receipt to the casino cage for a match play card for use at table games. Unfortunately, we didn't figure this out until day three of the cruise.
doconner Posted March 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2012 The 'chip' that you get is a $5 match play. So you take the chip that they give you and play it along with a $5 bet of your own. If you win, you are paid $10. It's a great offer if you already play table games.
