jdfloyd Posted March 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Does princess charge your credit card daily or is everything done in one "billing" at the end of the cruise?

mcornish Posted March 23, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2012 There is one billing at the end of your cruise, not a daily billing
jdfloyd Posted March 23, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Thank you for your quick responses!! So we will see a one time fee for all our expenses but have a breakdown of all costs such as excursions, gratuities and other onboard expenses on our final bill? kywildcatfanone Posted March 23, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2012 One billing, unless you buy future cruise credits, and those get charged immediately to your card separately from your onboard account. Mike

Yes, there will be entries for each day regarding hotel charges, onboard purchases, excursions, etc. with a total for each person. Mike
Rare teacherman Posted March 23, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2012 I would also suggest that you ask for a copy of your bill the day prior to disembarkation. There was a cruise where we were charged for things we did not buy. Much easier to "clear up" things before the last morning.
paul929207 Posted March 23, 2012 #8 Share Posted March 23, 2012 The last day you will get a copy of the bill for your account. It will list each charge.

They are easy to clear up when there is no line, but a hassle when there IS a line!
Pam in CA Posted March 23, 2012 #10 Share Posted March 23, 2012 One thing to be aware of is that while only the final amount is actually charged, a "hold" is placed daily on your card for the amount current as of that day. I don't know if that's done on every account or only those above a particular amount. Most credit card companies release the hold within 24 hours but some don't for several days. If you are using a debit card, this could present a credit problem if you're using the card while in port and your funds are limited.
