veterancruiser1976 Posted March 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2012 My wife and I are going on a Transatlantic cruise on May 5 on the Celebrity Constellation. We will be going to Lisbon, Ponta Delgado, Paris, Dover and ending in Amsterdam. Instead of booking shore excursions through the ship are there good shore excursions available by local vendors at these ports at reasonable prices? Your advise is appreciated. paul929207 Posted March 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2012 Welcome to Cruise Critic. Two place for you to visit. First is the Roll Call for your cruise. There you can meet others sailing with you. Often people are planning private tours and have space for others. To join, Click Boards at the top of this page, Scroll down to Roll Calls, click on your cruise line, Click on your ship. Find the thread for your sailing. Second is the Port of Call section. Lots of info there on the ports.
cb at sea Posted March 27, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2012 Of course there is! Either Google your ports or get a guidebook. It takes some work on your part, but there's no need to pay the ships prices to get tours! Shoot...a guidebook will allow you to see if what you like might be doable on your own!
