Epic Carnival Fantasy Review & PICS/March 23rd, 2012 Sailing

It was pretty late so we decided to retire for the evening. On the way back we found the emergency escape door. Stand clear!!!!

And that was the end of that day. We called it a day and crashed around 3am.

The next morning we awoke to some seas that were rolling just a bit.

It appears as though some IDIOTS decided to have a silly string fight in the hallway after we went to bed. This poor guy had to spend his valuable time cleaning up the mess. Not cool! I mean, who brings silly string on a cruise.

Things were awfully quiet on the promenade this morning. A huge contrast to the activities and music from the night before.

I just love when the clouds part in the middle to make a sunshiney spot on the open seas.

Ok guys. Thanks to all who are reading. I will catch up on any questions I missed after this post. I will probably have to stop after this next group of pics so that I can wrap up my work day. I sincerely hope to finish tomorrow and give some packing lists as well as some key points of things I have noticed and maybe some things I aspired to do that I never got around to. There is always next time. Right?

On our way to breakfast in the MDR we encountered a statue that the Andrew got a bit familiar with.

Who's ready for fancy breakfast? This girl!

Pinky up sir!

Cream cheese salmon bagel thingy

CarnivalFantasy2012Iphone262.jpg

Eggs Benedict with Hollendaise on the side (this works so much better than already applied....not quite as dry)

CarnivalFantasy2012Iphone263.jpg

Some bacon and hash rounds (crispy and crispy)

Love your review! Your first Fantasy review is one that I read *and bookmarked!* last year while getting ready for our first cruise which was ,obviously, on the Fantasy. It always helped get me excited to cruise! You guys seem like a ton of fun!

Loving your review! My husband and I are going to be on the Fantasy on 5/14 on our first cruise. I read your 2010 review and when I read that you were planning to do a review for this past cruise, I was full of anticipation! :) This review doesn't disappoint. BTW- I don't think the iPhone pics are bad at all. The Nassau sail away pictures look really nice and I like the "mood" lighting for the food porn!

Sort of off topic question- What are the stuffed mushrooms "stuffed" with? I'm allergic to shellfish so I'm hoping not crab. They look awesome, but I want to go ahead and prepare myself if I can't have them!

I love the review, I really love the pictures, I love The Andrew, and I love Nancy. This is the best review EVER! Please take more cruises! Thank you for the lovely picture of the Glory (entry #46). We leave May 15.

Pre cruise: Since we live in Charleston and don’t have to travel, our pre-cruise is spent at home finalizing last minute things.

Oh my gosh! Did you realize you began your review by telling us about the (awful) fire, then posted a picture with a fire extinguisher in the background as the very first pic of your review? AMAZING!

So glad the cruise was the cure your BF needed, and that you all had a great trip!

Thank you, thank you for more review! I love the eggplant. Reminds me of a pumpkin I once took dancing with me......long story.

The iphone pics weren't bad. My pictures never turn out good anyway because I just typically take crappy pictures.

We opened the windows on Lido too. When I saw that pic I had to show DH! Look, same window! Very funny.

Great review!!

Question about the Port in Charleston. How is it coming along? Loved sailing out of Charleston and want to do it again soon.

They haven't really started yet if you are talking about the new cruise terminal.

Delays due to still being in court.

Really enjoying your new review and the pics. Sorry your camera died, but on our local news last night there was a story about a company in Virginia that sells used camers , so I thought you might be interested in checking them out....used cameras dot com. Your camera phone pics turned out to be very good by the way. Glad you and The Andrew had a good cruise and thanks for sharing!:)

Thank you for the info on the camera website. I will be looking into this for sure.

It is slow going. They have shown pics of what the new terminal will look like. Pretty impressive.

The only difference I noticed was that they had a better gangplank system that actually landed you on the level with the atrium. It was still a very fast check in time.

What a fantastic review!

Thank you! :)

Thank you! ;)

3. Loving your review!

2. My 1st cruise was on Fantasy out of Port Canaveral, Oct '06 :)

1. I want to cruise w/YOU! You guys look like my kind of people :D

Thank you! Our 1st cruise was on Fantasy out of Port Canaveral in Feb '04 and we fell head over heels in love...with each other...and cruising.

It may be next year before we get to cruise again but come along with us! The more the merrier!

I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed both of my reviews! I need to hurry up and finish this one! :o

Thank you for reading both of my reviews! I cant believe it is taking me so long to finish this one. Perhaps I just dont want it to end. :p

I looked up the menu and this is what it says: Baked Stuffed White Mushrooms: spinach, romano cheese and fine herbs. I would still double check if you are in doubt. You can also contact Carnival's Special Needs Dept and let them know about your food allergy.

Thank you thank you thank you! We love that you love us!

We plan on cruising again soon. The Andrew wants to go in December but I dont see how we could get enough money together in time.

Enjoy your time on the Glory. It looked like a really cool ship with LOTS of balconies

Hey, as far as a camera I just got an Olympus TG 310 from Staples for $125 that is waterproof to 10 feet so you can snorkel with it... :)

Cool Medtech2. Thanks for the info. I was really hoping to get a waterproof camera and thought it would be way out of my price range. That is a reasonable price!

I did notice that! Totally unintentional but you better believe that was one of the first things we purchased when I got the house. We havent gotten around to hanging it yet so we keep it in the living room. :D

Great review! You guys just really look like you love life.

We like to laugh and have fun and try not to take life so seriously. Every single day is precious and I am so happy he is still by my side.

just so you know. Those iphone pictures look great!! Couldn't tell they were phone pics if you didn't tell us.:)

I am glad that the Iphone pics are translating better than I expected. I was so upset about my stupid camera

Wow! A pumpkin?! That must have been pretty awkward to manuever.

We couldnt understand why those windows were shut on lido. It wasnt really breezy or anything. It only took him a minute to figure them out. He did ask the folks around us if they minded us opening them. :)

Great review so far! I've never read a review of the Fantasy and I've always wanted to. We've seriously considered sailing her because she's within a days driving distance.

You really should sail on Fantasy. Come to Charleston and visit as well! We are thinking of sailing on Fantasy for one of their 7 day itineraries. Ohhhhhhh 7 days!

It seems as if a cruise is EXACTLY what The Andrew needed! After such a tough year, it is nice to see him smiling in the pictures. Great review and pictures.

Thank you. It really did lift his spirits but now all he can talk about is booking the next one and how he misses having people to talk to. He is at home by himself all day and we live out in the country so there isnt much interaction for him.:(

That Hysterical Society needs to get their heads out of their keisters.

They seriously think that Carnival cruisers dont tour the city or eat in our restaurants. It is just NUTS!

And off I go to check the new itineraries! Thanks for the info

Great review.

Thanks Jimmy!
