kimcheeboy Posted April 4, 2012 Author #26 Share Posted April 4, 2012 As an update, the photos I shot were with a fisheye lens which captures about 180 degrees of view, but does distort the the perspective a bit (hence fisheye). It was the only lens that I had that was wide enough to fully capture the length and width properly. Here are some other examples of fisheye shots I took. dln929 Posted April 4, 2012 #27 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Fantastic photos, thanks! We're in C2 #1120 on the Reflection next April. Its equivalent cabin on other S class ships is 1108. Based on these photos I think we're going to be very happy with it. :D
vistapat Posted April 4, 2012 #28 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Your additional pix were great. Now I need to go update my upgrade preferences. I want to keep THAT cabin.

Ricky Chan Posted April 5, 2012 #31 Share Posted April 5, 2012 I don't like that balcony. It's too dark and closed off. Same here
Rare Germancruiser Posted April 5, 2012 #32 Share Posted April 5, 2012 yes never book them people, way to dark and closed off..... LOL! I am booked on both of my next cruises in 9209 - which I suppose has a similliar balcony than the one the OP posted. Great pictures by the way- I had angled balcony´s the last three cruises- never had a problem with dark cabins. Okay an inside might be a bit dark...! Archaegeo Posted April 5, 2012 #33 Share Posted April 5, 2012 We just got off 7215 on Eclipse, HUGE balcony. Really great location too. Our inlaws were in 7219 and theirs was large as well.

Michael I just booked 9215 for our June, 2013 cruise. I think the cabin should be same as yours. Ricky
gizmodog Posted April 6, 2012 #36 Share Posted April 6, 2012 welsch wizards, you were actually in that cabin, great news, was the bed near the balcony or bath, did you experience any noise near the elevators? thanks so much for your take on this cabin. Waihekean Posted April 8, 2012 #37 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Oh, I am so lucky to see these photo's! Have just changed from Cabin 7286 (with the largest balcony) to this cabin and I think we are really happy with this balcony too:D
1stcruise2012 Posted April 8, 2012 #38 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Does anyone have balcony pics of 8197 on the Solstice? Is the balcony going to be the same as 9192? After looking at the 1st set of pics on 9192 I don't like what I see :( I would prefer a normal balcony then that of 9192.

Wiltonian Posted February 24, 2014 #40 Share Posted February 24, 2014 Nice pics, we are on the hump in 1610 on Equinox this June. It is a big balcony too. Of course, there is a compromise between these huge balconies and the standard ones; For example 6008 and 6012 are smaller than 6010 and 6014, but larger than standard. We're in 6012 in October. Of course the OP's fish-eye lens does rather exaggerate the size of the balcony! Stuart
Wiltonian Posted February 24, 2014 #41 Share Posted February 24, 2014 This image, which KevinYork posted on older CC thread, shows how you end up with different sized balconies near the hump. They also show the true un-exaggerated size! http://i49.tinypic.com/znsac8.jpg Stuart
PatC Posted February 24, 2014 #42 Share Posted February 24, 2014 We sailed in 1120 on Silhouette. If the cabins run the same on the S class, it was one of the best cabins we've ever had. We are in 8256 on Equinox in April and look forward to the same situation. 1120 will be a little larger on the balcony but any of the "hump" cabins are roomier! Enjoy! wf083145 Posted February 24, 2014 #45 Share Posted February 24, 2014 As long as people are asking, we will be in 2106 on a Reflection next month. Does anyone have pictures or comments on this stateroom?
tbmrt Posted March 31, 2014 #46 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Just got off the Solstice last week where we had the 1A category cabin 9192. Hope this gives people a good feel for just how large the balcony really is. Looks like it faces the "straight" cabins...I'd feel like we were being "watched". Tiggertastic Posted March 31, 2014 #47 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Could anyone advise if 8256 on the next hump has a similar balcony. I am worried the stateroom would be too dark. I think a wide balcony would be great but not long and narrow. I hope someone can help? Yes it is, we've booked it again for Xmas
