rlkubi Posted April 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2012 We will be arriving in MIA about 9:30 the day before the cruise and will be renting cars (there are 12 of us). We will be staying in FLL. What to do the day before? What are "must sees"? What is a great casual seafood restaurant you would recommend for dinner? Thanks!

What to do the day before? What are "must sees"? What is a great casual seafood restaurant you would recommend for dinner? Thanks! I just ate at 15th street fisheries in FLL last weekend. Thought it was great. They have casual outdoor dining (overlooking the boat dock) and more fine dining inside. Both areas get very busy. If dining outside, you are welcome to order from either menu. Their clam chowder was excellent as were the conch fritters. The cup of soup is served in a very large mug!! You can view their menus on-line here: http://www.15streetfisheries.com/menus.html Enjoy!! writesonstuff Posted April 5, 2012 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2012 Sawgrass Mills Mall. If you are allowed to bring wine on board, then stock up at Total Wines. I believe the Port Everglades web site has some great ideas and links so you can tailor your search to your group's interests. http://www.porteverglades.net Have a great cruise! Cheers! I second this recommendation. The outdoor patio has a really nice casual vacation atmosphere, and live music.
shonandsuzie Posted April 5, 2012 #8 Share Posted April 5, 2012 You can spend all day/evening taking the water taxi: http://www.watertaxi.com/ Definately! Take the full tour first and then a second time, get off at different stops and get back on later. This was the best FLL tip we ever got!
