How does carnival know you are a Cruise Critic Member?

I have seen many pictures of peoples cabin doors with a message from carnival that says "welcome cruise critic member!".

 

How does carnival know? and how do I get this?

 

It usually seems to be accompanied by some niceties inside the cabin...

I don't think Carnival knows. We've had signs on our door but they were put there by someone on the Roll Call because our cabin was part of a Cabin Crawl.

Sorry-Carnival has no way of knowing. The signs you saw were probably put up for cabin crawls as the other poster mentioned.

I had a door hanging.... I told the cabin steward and also the cruise director. I was the head of the last Meet and greet so we had a room for our get together and drinks for us.... :p

 

No real specail perks but They were always good to us no matter who we are...:D

 

We had a blast on all of our cruises but I like saying im a CC member and like to write reviews too so With that said TELL all lol... ya never know.;)

Maybe so for the mass market lines but not for the smaller upscale lines. They know who the posters are, and take what they say to heart.

I know that on NCL they tell you at the meet and greet to come and tell them if something isn't right on your cruise. They say they would like to take care of it when it happens instead of hearing about it on CC.

I do not believe Carnival really likes CC. Other lines do so much more for CC members than Carnival who does pretty much nothing.

I don't know why they would care for one group over another. However I have a feeling that a minority of folks think that they're like a nautical neighborhood watch.

I am not sure this is the answer that will help, but this is what I am doing. Cruise critic has a door poster you can print for your door. Hope this works for you.
