Las Palmas/Pirates Bay snorkeling question?

Has anyone snorkeled at Las Palmas?... was wondering how it compares to West Bay? We are considering this for our trip in May but hate to miss out on West Bay if its not as good!

I have not snorkeled this area but what comes to mind is it is on the wind ward side of the island you may be fighting wind and current. :)

We have been there and the snorkeling was fantastic. You get the reef swimming from the beach. The sea side is protected and we snorkeled with our childs. There is a galleon in the marine that you can visit for free and a market of local artisan working.

Bar & Restaurant on the beach with restroom very clean and with air condition.

Where are you going to dock?

We got the place because a friend told us. We understood it's difficult to find where is the site because is not well signed.

Thank you, I will have to pop by Las Palmas to see if they will let me check out the snorkeling. Tell me can you compare the snorkeling at Las Palmas to that of West Bay?
