mllcal Posted May 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2012 Can someone please tell me how strict ATN is regarding carryon luggage? I am planning on carrying aboard a small suitcase that will be well under 22 lbs and within the measurement criteria. I usually also carry a small soft backpack in which I put all my essentials for the plane ride. My husband carries a backpack that has all of his camera gear in it. Should I be concerned? On the website they state a small suitcase plus "Handbag or pocket book, Small camera case or binoculars, Infant bag or baby food, Briefcase or laptop computer with case." Doesn't seem to include a backpack, which I use as a handbag. Anyone know if this is forbidden?
charlottegirl Posted May 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2012 We were recently on Air Tahiti Nui both to and from LAX. My husband and I both had carry-on bags that weighed under 23 lbs as well as a small/ medium size backpack each. The carry-on bags were weighed but the backpacks were not. Rare Familygoboston Posted May 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2012 I haven't flown ATN yet, but I always carry that exact configuration, roll aboard suitcase and back pack. And never had a problem. I'm hoping for the same on ATN. I am going too have to watch my weight though;I'm sure my rolla board can get over 23!
