Post Liberty - time to visit Miami beaches?

This is our first cruise and we get back on Saturday morning to POM from our seven day E. Caribbean cruise. Our flight leaves MIA at 1 pm. I know this is not a whole lot of time, but assuming we get in on time and debark early - would it be possible or realistic to visit any area beaches? Don't really want to do much else but if anyone has taken a quick cab to a specific spot and enjoyed it I would love to know about it. Or maybe just advise us to head to the airport ASAP? Thanks for any tips!

The South Beach area is about 15-20 minutes from POM and about 20-30 minutes from the airport. If you take a cab from POM to the beach, you should have a couple of hours to explore before heading to MIA.

Thanks, spacepotatoes! That is kind of what I was hoping for, but haven't been in Miami for so many years I wasn't sure if it was feasible.
