Truly PRIVATE cab tour on St. Thomas

I was hoping to hire a cab to take us to Drake's Seat and Paradise Point in St. Thomas, with a chance to take photos and walk around at our leisure, but I am gathering that nearly all the taxis hold 9+ people. While we want to go to two major tourist spots, do they stop along the way for other requests from the 9 passengers? What if we don't want to go exactly where the others want to go? Are ANY of the taxis air conditioned? Thanks for any info you can provide.:confused: (Also the cost if a private taxi is available )

I would post this at ports of call. We were just in St Thomas and you can get an AC cab.

You can go to the taxi stand and request a private taxi, just like in any city. They are air conditioned, and though fares are fixed you can work out a tour with the driver that will do just what you want. Private cost is the same as for a safari van, but that is only for point to point travel, touring has its own separate costs. Check vinow . com for taxi info.
