Are jackets "required"

Recommended Posts

Hi fellow cruisers.Read above posts and will be also be doing the no tuxedo/suit/sportcoat cruise. We live in florida and are spoiled as drive to port, drop bags{always to many} and always carry way to much. Since the restrictions/limits on luggage we have always thought how bad it is now trying to bring two formal oufits, shoes, jewlery , and regular essentials on the aircraft, and draging all thru customs, and other inspections. I will have a couple dress shirts that fold and travel well and maybe space for a tie, but will leave the others in the closest. We will be doing the western med in sept and on tour each day for 8 to nine hours so when we return it will be shirt and slacks.Wife will not have to pack the heels, hose, jewelery, jacket, slacks, dress. We wore formal for mardegra ,, tux jacket, vest & shirt & shorts so got the use out of it this year already. My jacket on cruises usually ends up on the chair also.I think the last couple of cruises on formal night about half changed after dinner for the show and casino. Have a great day and smooth seas to all. Bob & Nancy The Villages Florida :):):)

I guess there are "entrepreneurs" and "entrepreneurs"! :D

Some "entrepreneurs" earn loads of money and travel in monied circles and would definitely be attending black tie events all the time. Other "entrepreneurs" may be of the mom and pop variety owing a small business or being a business of one therefore, having no need to dress up at all.

Normally, the word "entrepreneurs" creates visions of a Donald Trump like figure travelling the world and mixing in high society and dressing the part in a tux.
