Westerdam - June 30 - Long Review

A fair review, listing the likes and dislikes. There's no way that a brand cheerleader should have a problem with that review.

The lines at dinner time, I expect to have those now to tell the truth. I honestly look forward to them, might get to banter with folks you'd normally not talk to, see some outfits that were last in style when Nixon was young, and sets up a little anticipation for the meal.

About the only bad thing (to me) about the line is when you get a person who only talks about themselves when you ask them what they did that day. You ask to them "what did you do today" and they think it is time to talk about themselves and not their activities. Rather than speaking on how their activities they talk on themselves only. They think the emphasis is on the "you" of the question and not the "do today" of the question.

Thanks Lisa.. sorry I missed you... I am curious what you learned?

Beer (this one's new to me; maybe it's a trial at Seattle port?), Hydropool, pre-cruise hotel in which to stay, Seattle restaurant to think twice about, different types of Baked Alaska every day (I ordered only once, so wasn't aware), and the tour company you used in Ketchikan, to name a few.

I love reading about others' experiences on the same cruise.

We really lucked out with the weather! Johns Hopkins Glacier was certainly a highlight. I agree that the second night's dinner was a mess -- getting into the dining room, anyway. We were told later that there was an issue with the desalination system that night that required all dishes to be hand-washed using bottled water, thereby leading to the delay.

Thanks again for the review!
