On two different occasions we rented an electric car / cart. They allow you to get around quickly to all the basic sights and you can rent them for a few hours and are reasonably priced. We found that booking on line before is the best way to get a good deal. Parking isn't usually an issue, but if you do park, you should use the meters. We covered all the basic sights and still had time to do a lil shopping, grab a beer at Irish Kevin's, a slice of key lime pie and back on the ship in time. :)
