Celebrity suite on S-class--get any sun?

We've just received a free upgrade on our upcoming cruise on the Solstice from our Sky suite to a Celebrity suite forwardc acing on the port hump (1233). My wife likes the Sky suite balcony because it receives sun because the slanted back of the ship means there's nothing over our balcony. The Celebrity suites on the side look as if they are covered by the balcony above so I was wondering ifmthe balconies ever get any direct sun to lay out in? Anybody have experience and comments?

Sorry, Can't really help except to say that the itinerary and which the side of the ship, is really important before a decision is given. E.G. Southern Hemishere, West bound voyage, Port side would get no sun and starboard would get lots (summer or winter, partially covered balcony or not).

We also were upgraded from a Sky Suite to a Celebrity Suite. (1663 to 1618) While there was not sun all the time, there were times when there was plenty of sun on the balcony. It depended on the time of day and which way the boat was sailing. You cannot beat the great lounger on the balcony.

Thanks for the comments. Hope we like it as much as we love our Sky Suite!
