Wing collar shirt or regular formal w/ bow-tie?

Both are great looks. I mean, it's a tux...you can't go wrong.

 

Since it looks like you'll have more than one formal night, go ahead and rock both looks like a boss. :D

 

Oh, and thanks for making the effort--I always love seeing a nice tux in the MDR!

I have both but I do not care for the wing collar. I wear the regular so I can wear a bow tie one night and a long tie on the other night. Besides have you ever seen Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra wear a wing.

There was a time that a wing collar was only worn with tails or military dress uniforms and the bow tie was hand tied (I hated that part) but dress codes have all been merged now and either is appropriate today.
