Suite Amenities Question

I received an email from NCL with choices for my suite amenities. I am sailing in an OS on the Star. In the past, I have ordered my bottles of liquor from the butler once I was on board. I was then able to request substitutions from the list with no problem.

 

Has anyone been able to (successfully) request substitutions by email before boarding or should I wait until I board and request directly from the butler?

I have only had one butler email me in advance. I wwould give it a try and se what happens, they are always very good about making changes...GO for it and enjoy your cruise
