nycglitter Posted May 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2005 An apology letter? For what, mother nature stirring up the seas? I agree that the refund should arrive promptly, but it's not like NCL controls the weather.

I don't know how they're handling that cancellation but I'm assuming it takes longer than a week to handle 2000 passengers. My opinion, give it a little more time. NJcruiser21 Posted May 15, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2005 Take the credit when it comes and run with it and book your next cruise. I think an apology letter is unnecessary...issuing a credit for something uncontrollable is good in itself.
Lefty1 Posted May 15, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted May 15, 2005 i am fully aware that due to mother nature we were unable to take the mother days cruise on the dawn - i guess i used the wrong words - apology is definitely not needed by ncl - i guess i was trying to say "due to weather, we are sorry we could not continue our cruise" - i guess something in that effect but no blaming them for the weather - oh well i ask one question and thank u all for answering it. TVLady2 Posted May 15, 2005 #7 Share Posted May 15, 2005 I received a e-mail this past friday from NCL confirming what my refund will be. As of today, my credit card still has not been credited. I called them and they said 2-3 weeks.
sclauss Posted May 16, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 16, 2005 I already booked my trip. 11 days in the Caribbean! Better than 1 night out!!! They wanted the deposit on a credit card but told the TA that when I get the letter, it will have a number on it. I give that number to the TA and they deduct the credit from the price of the cruise. The 100% cruises are: any Dawn to Bahamas till end of June any Crown to Bermuda till end of July Dawn 10/9 or 10/19 Spirit 11/27 or 12/8 any other cruise from now until next May get 50% credit (50% of what you paid for the 1 night) Anyone else want to meet in the Spirit casino???
