Which Ocho Rios beach to visit?

DH and I will be in Ocho Rios on the Imagination in October 04 and are interested in a nice relaxing beach that is free of hagglers (as free as can possibly be at a tourist destination). Are there any hotels close by that will give a day pass to lie on their beach and if so what is the best means of transportation to the hotel?

Thanks

Your best bet for no hagglers is a smaller beach called Mahogany Beach. I am orginally from Jamaica and that's where I used to go to evade the tourist trap that is the cruise dock. Any taxi will take you there, it's only 10 minutes at most from the dock. There is a bar and grill, and sometimes a massuese in a little grotto type gazebo for extra. You will get offers for watersports, but a no is readily accepted. not likely to be any souvenir sellers. It's a small, gorgeous little beach.

Maybe I've misread something on another thread, but I understood that Mahogony Beach is close to MoBay and is instead longer than hour ride from Ocho Rios!
Please don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong!!!

Wish I could find a boat ride/catamaran ride for 8 adults for Dec 1 at a reasonable price!! Radiance's excursions for this activity way too expensive.
