coolcookie34 Posted August 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2012 I'm looking at doing a February cruise out of New York. I'm wondering how bad it will be as far as not having use of the pools or most of the outdoor areas for almost half the trip. How many days do you "lose"? golfadj Posted August 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2012 generally at least 1 1/2 each way. This is why we travel to Florida for our winter cruises
jkneern Posted August 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2012 We have sailed the past two years once in feb and once early march. Both times we had the best weather. Sat out at the pools on the first sea day and coming back we had great weather on the last sea day. It started to get cool around 2pm. I think we were just lucky though. I would guess and say day one down and last sea day back will be the coldest days. Enjoy!
coolcookie34 Posted August 28, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted August 28, 2012 I was looking at the Miracle, but there's not much to do for kids aside from the pools and camp. Maybe RCL's Explorer would be better as they have more options on indoor entertainment. I'd rather not spend $$ on airfare. Last Feb airfare was $3100 to FLL. Right now it's looking like $2k.
