Driving to Port of Miami

Recommended Posts

We just did it in February and I don't remember any trouble. Their our signs along the way that help get you there. It was a little confusing exactly how to get to the ship when we got to the pier because there is construction going on but we just followed everyone else and had no problem. I hope this helps!

By the time you get to the construction you can see your ship - it would really be hard to get lost at that point! LOL I hope this helps!

Just follow the signs with the cruise ship on them. After the last 40 or so miles on I95 you'll be ready for a cruise and a drink (or two).

13 cruises so far - RCCL, Carnival, Celebrity, Princess, NCL, HAL (we were on the last cruise of the wonderful Norway, still have my room key)

This is a stupid question but....when driving into the Port of Miami, do you drop you bags with the porter and then go park? Parking and lugging your bags to the porter doesn't make sense but...

On the subject of parking at the Port of Miami, does anyone know whether you have to reserve parking space in advance or can you just turn up and park. I will be very interested to hear about people's experiences of parking at this port. The last time I used Miami to embark on a cruise, the porters almost mugged me for a tip (which I was planning to give them anyway!)
