tour guide in Villefranche

Both Sylvie and Alain are booked for June 24, 2004. Does anyone have another suggestion for a tour guide in Villefranche?

I would post this on the CC Europe Board as you may get a faster reply.You really do not need a private guide in this area as you can use the train to get to Nice,Monte Carlo,etc.There is also info on the Europe Board already that may be of help to you in this area.That being said,you may want to check with your cruiseline to see if they can hire a private driver/tour guide for you and/or find one at the dock as there are usually a few that do show up.

I don't know if anyone else mentioned this somewhere that you've seen, but the train is within walking distance of the tender port at Villefranche. Don't see much need of a tour guide - Nice is just beautiful to walk around in. We didn't get to MC but I assume you can just wander around the casino (dressed appropriately, of course)

The train is just across the lower road from where the ship's tenders dock.

 

We were there a couple of days. One of the tours that we took was to the village of Eze, a middle age mountain-top village. Lot of walking up a steep hill. Lots of small shops and boutiques.
