Can someone please explain some things to me?

First of all, when I booked our cruise I did very little research since it was a last minute thing.

Can you tell me what R ships and O ships are...what are the terms used for different sized ships?

Also...what is B1, B2, B3 class, etc. I am looking at 2013 (on other ships) cruises and I want to have my ducks in line before I book. I'm specifically looking at cruises that match or are close to the October 16 Journey cruise...so far I haven't found anything but have really only looked at Oceania. I'm not looking at the high end cruises such as Regent, etc.

I do know now that I will book a port side veranda, as opposed to starboard. I was only able to see one sunrise and one sunset from our balcony. I didn't mind the forward section of the boat...it actually seemed convenient for us and we were only a couple cabins from the elevators.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

R and O ships refer to the following:

R ships were purchased from Renaissance cruises when they went belly up.

O has 3, Azamara has 2, Princess and Hal each have a couple.

The Journey and Quest are R ships.

Oceania just built two new ships - Marina and Riviera -- they are larger and more elaborate and hold around 1250 passengers. They are Oceania class ships or O ships for short.
