pompeii and capri

Can anyone tell whether it is feasible to do the following: take the hydrofoil to capri in the a.m.; take hydrofoil from capri to sorrento; take a cab from sorrento to pompeii and then a cab from pompeii back to the ship. Is this pushing to do too much in one day?

There is absolutely no way to do all that in one day. Pompeii alone can take the entire day. To be honest, Capri is really nothing more than a cute town and if you had more time a nice place to visit, but Pompeii is spectacular and should not be missed.

I agree with the above -- I would love to have stayed in Pompeii the whole day. If you are at all interested in history and archaeology, you will be fascinated. I would recommend visiting the site first thing in the morning, as it gets quite hot there as the day goes on.
