debster818 Posted October 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2012 I have a question. I have been watching the prices on our cruise for a few weeks now and they have not dropped yet. I did notice that the Early Saver fare does not exist anymore. What does that mean? Is because all the fars for Early Saver are booked? And, does that mean that I cannot get a price drop now? Thanks. meatloafsfan Posted October 22, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2012 On 7 night cruises, the ES rate must be booked I think either 5 or 6 months in advance (hence - EARLY saver). You can still price match to any of the rates you qualify for (past guest, VIFP, miltary, senior, sales, etc).
MrFunInTheSun Posted October 22, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2012 Means early saver pricing for new bookings no longer exist. As long as you booked early saver you price your current early saver vs. new pricing your eligible for. Example, say a current fun fare is now lower than when you booked ES. Or current residency rate. Once booked ES, always ES. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Please excuse typographical errors.
fergusonvt Posted October 22, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2012 You can still apply for price drops with any of the other categories you might qualify for. I just got a decent OBC from the senior rate which was lower than my ES rate. I also got a small drop earlier before the ES rate disappeared. I never thought I'd get a price drop because of the limited number of my type of cabin on the ship but keep looking because it can happen.
