erin313 Posted October 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2012 My mother is going on the Star Princess in November, She can only get the 5:30 seating for Traditional dining. She feels this will be too early so she is opting for the Anytime Dining instead. She is hoping that this will not exclude them from the "Formal Attire". Do Anytime Diners dress in formal wear on the Formal nights?

fishywood Posted October 23, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2012 The evening dress code applies equally to all three Main Dining Rooms, whether traditional fixed seating or anytime dining. Of course even if it did not, there would be no prohibition on her dressing as elegantly as she chooses however that night's dress is designated. Might I also gently suggest that if she is more accustomed to traditional fixed seating but finds 5:30 too early that you request to be waitlisted for the seating you prefer (6:00 or 8:15). Even though it is past final payment date, there may still be additional seating released.

Putterdude Posted October 23, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 23, 2012 The dress code applies to all dining rooms except the buffet and the specialty dining rooms.

Agree. If it does not clear by the time she boards, she would automatically be assigned to anytime. If assigned to anytime and she still wants traditional at 6 or 8:15, check the first day's Patter to see when and where the matre'd will be having a session for people who wish to change their dining assignment.
