buffi001 Posted October 31, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2012 Does anyone know the size of the Aft balconies on deck 8 on the revitalized Grandeur of the Seas (Junior Suite)? Based on the deck plan , I can tell it's oversized, but I was looking for some first hand information. It is cabin 8588
MS52 Posted November 1, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2012 On this thread: http://www.boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1223724 there is a review of cabin 8088 (with pictures) which would be the mirror image of 8588. It looks very nice. :)

sentosa25 Posted November 1, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2012 Hi, we just got of Grandeur last Friday, we were in 8088 which is next door. Fantastic location and very quiet. The Vitality Spa is above and we never heard any noise at all from it. We have always booked a D2 Aft before, so first time for a JS. New carpet and curtains, felt there was a little bit too much furniture,8088 is longer than most JS rather than square. We had a sofa, two armchairs and two round stools, one armchair against the balcony door. Bathtub with curtain and a slightly bigger bathroom. We did have a problem with spots of soot and cabin steward very reluctant to clean it. There were a few breezy days up on Deck 9, but I was able to sit out with no breeze at all. Balcony was the biggest we have ever had, two loungers, two chairs, a table and still lots of room. Divider between 8088 and 8588 squeaked a lot when we were sailing, so I folded up a compass tightly and put it between the divider and that solved the problem. Divider at the other side had a piece of rubber to stop the squeak that side. I think I may have some photos of 8088, will post them later for you.
