carnival cruise - 27th Dec - 8th January

Hi there, this is our first time cruising and we'll be on the carnival cruise 27th-8th January this year. Looking forward to it!

Apparently soft-drinks are not included... I knew about alcohol not being included, but soft-drinks? Are all other companies the same or just the carnival?

The only mass market cruise line that includes soft drinks is Disney. But you do pay substantially more to sail on them, so the price increase covers the cost of the soda. Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Princess, and Celebrity as well as Carnival all charge extra for soft drinks.

If you are big soda drinkers, then look into purchasing a soda card once on-board. It is figured so much per day of cruise. HUGE savings for me in the past. OR take the allowed 12 bottles 20oz or less per person on board with you.

Thanks for your help guys! Will take it with me on board then. What sort of drinks do they offer on board apart from water? juices? are the juices nice at least? is it fake juice? like cordial?

 

Would anyone have any tips as to which activities to do while at sea? any good theater? thanks guys!

You can get coffee, tea, water, iced tea and lemonade for free 24/7. Juices are free, but only at breakfast time in the Main Dining Room or up on the Lido Buffet. The buffet will have orange juice and apple juice, while in the dining room you can also get tomato and pineapple. Over the course of your 12 day cruise, if you run out of the soda that you brought on board with you, you can bring additional soda on board at any port of call.
