monina01 Posted November 5, 2012 #76 Share Posted November 5, 2012 I do have to say I really like that blue colour on the hull. It's a nice blue.
Rare Copper10-8 Posted November 5, 2012 #77 Share Posted November 5, 2012 looks like someone is standing by the lines. anticipation............... If you look to the right and just above her name (Noordam), you'll see what's known as the 'diving board' that hydraulically retracts in the hull. On that diving board is one of the bridge officers who, at that location, is in charge of instructing the linehandlers which line to release first. He does that on orders of the captain (or staff captain) whoever is taking her out. At the aft mooring deck (no diving board there) is another officer doing the same with the aft mooring lines and line handlers
aliaschief Posted November 5, 2012 Author #78 Share Posted November 5, 2012 Why are they talking about fishing? Ships Chef needs some Ribbon Fish for dinner tonight! I will stick with traditional first night dinner of Prime Rib. There is an Insanity Vessel out there!!!!
Alcarondas Posted November 5, 2012 #79 Share Posted November 5, 2012 Tuned in and logged on. And yes, those blue hulls are pretty. They hide the rust stains from the anchors a lot better than the white hulls do, too. :)
DWAliaschief Posted November 5, 2012 #80 Share Posted November 5, 2012 In Port Evergaldes the line handlers and their supervisors use those white trucks to get themselves to the bollards on which the mooring lines of the vessel are secured Waiting for the line handlers, et all get to the bollards:) Tomorrow we're in SINGLE digits:D
