? about port or starboard Alaska

We are planning an Alaska Cruise next September. We're doing the one that travels Tracy Arm Fjord.

 

We will not have a balcony but will have a window...Does it matter if we're Port or Starboard? Frankly I bet we'll watch from outside but you never know, if we're in the room I'd like a nice view? Does anyone know which is better?

If you read down the board, you will see this question asked regularly. Answer- it doesn't matter. Scenery is 360 degrees, and, as you correctly mention, you are locked in your cabin. You will be out and about, looking all the time.

To me it doesn't matter.

 

The best view by far will be from the open deck.

If leaving out of Vancouver then starboard is the better side. If leaving from Seattle it really doesn't matter as you are not going to see anything for the best part of a day in either direction.

I decided on starboard as the port side had the nightclub and the starboard side had one that wasn't right the heck next to the elevator. All my dad really cared about was he won't do an interior. Personally I wanted to spring for the balcony but I wasn't fussy about that I just wanted somewhere without a ton of noise.
