Spas on Cruises

Is it worth it to book a massage/facial/etc on a cruise. Is it too pricey, as compared to spas at land resorts?

Ship spas generally cost more than a neighborhood spa, but less than a fancy downtown spa.

There is something about being able to have a massage and not having to drive afterwards that makes a massage on a cruise very inviting. I agree that you should check out the cruiseline that you are traveling on-the offerings differ greatly. One suggestion I have is if you are doing any port excursions that entail alot of walking, nothing beats booking a foot and calve massage for the next day-your feet will benefit greatly.

Also check out what type of spa packages are offered on your cruise. As an example-on the Disney Cruiseline they offer a package for the duration that provides unlimited access to both the steam rooms and these AWSOME heated tile chairs (if you've ever had a hot stone massage it like that type of deep, relaxing heat in the form of a flat tiled reclined chair.
