Emerald Princess 11/29/12 - Just Renewed Wedding Vows

Hi all...we are on the Emerald Princess, on day two, second day at sea on a Southern Caribbean itinerary.

We are staying in a suite in the aft portion of the ship...the only noise is the wake, and it is beautiful!

We renewed our wedding vows today, after 37 years of marriage. A lovely ceremony..just two attendants from the ship and the Captain. Took around 15 minutes, and lots of pictures.

 

I always thought these were done en mass, but I guess not! I got a boutonierre, my wife a bouquet of flowers. Champagne, engraved champagne flutes, a box of chocolates.

All very classy and elegant.

 

It was a lovely experience - private, personal and just very nice!

Hi Alan,

 

We just celebrated our 30th on the Island and my husband surprised me with a "Renewal of Vows". We were with friends so that was nice to have them attend, along with some of the crew which i thought was a nice touch.

 

I agree that is was such a nice thing and the renewal words were wonderful!

 

I said that I think getting married by a Captain this time tops a Priest from last time lol.

Hello Alan and congratulations on your vow renewal. I will be sailing the same itinerary aboard the Emerald in February. Just upgraded to a minisuite as a Christmas present for my partner, can't wait. Enjoy the rest of your cruise. ;)

We celebrated our 25th on Ruby last March with a renewal of vows.

 

There was going to be just the two of us but we met two wonderful couples at dinner the first night and invited them!

 

Captain Yeomans was absolutely wonderful.

 

We highly recommend this experience!
