Paris apartment?

Has anyone booked an apartment in Paris for before or after their river cruise? I've been looking at hotels and I'm now looking on VRBO for apartments. Any pros/cons? I do not want to spend a lot of money, we are on a budget. Last year we got a 5 star hotel on Priceline for $107, then had to cancel when I had surgery just before the trip. So I really want to keep under $120 or so depending on what is included. We are looking for Mon April 22 till Fri April 26, we fly back that day.

Any advice on hotels or apts would be appreciated!

If you go to Fodors.com and search in the "Forums" section under "France" for Paris Apartment, you'll get lots of suggestions for rental agencies as well as specific apartments. People there have lots of experience renting apartments in Paris.

We are actually renting an apartment in Paris in April through VRBO. No previous experience so we're hoping it works out well.

Thank you....I just emailed the owner so we'll see what happens. The apartment gets wonderful reviews from everyone, and she gives tours as well. She or her husband meet you at the airport to direct you to the correct bus, then the other one meets you at the bus stop and escorts you to the apartment. It is small but looks great. I hope she answers me soon!

Well, I'm booked!! She answered back very promptly, and has already sent me about 10 emails with links to different websites, recommendations and tips, and she or her husband will meet us at the train station and take us to the apartment. It is $140 a night, but for the service we are getting (pick up, plus they come the last day and put us on the bus to the airport, free internet and free international and local phone calls, a loaner European cell phone) we think it will be well worth it, also there are no taxes. We are also going to hire her for a few private tours tailored to us. Here is the listing:
