Really great people and they said they were in the Ticket to Ride show. Sadly, we never made it to this show.

This night I had the study in sushi (I still like the sushi stand so much better)

226_zps9e99bfdc.jpg

I also had the salmon

233_zps5265c00d.jpg

There are multiple food pics in my pictures file that may have been the dancers food because I told them about the review and they started getting into taking food porn pics. I asked the Andrew which one was his plate and he cant remember but knows it was "something yummy".

I know at this point the Andrew excused himself and I stayed to order dessert. I didnt see anything on the dessert menu that excited me but the waiter insisted that I get something. He brought me some sherbet. Yum!

238_zpsecc938e4.jpg

Then back up to lido for a Twilight Zone....my favorite!

We knew that we wanted to get some sleep relatively early this night since it was a 7:00am arrival in Grand Turk with a back onboard time of 1:30pm. I wanted to make sure we got up early enough to enjoy our time so we went back to the cabin to make one more (just one more) drink before finally calling it a night.

This is what I found when we returned. More presents! I found out later that Sheila brought me the scarf and Bachelorette glasses and BananaAnna and daughter brought the penguin stickers. And more signatures!

Another new towel animal. Walrus? Turtle?

TASTY BEVERAGE

247_zps855d9a27.jpg

This is what our room rum drinks consisted of. Each morning, I would take my large pink water bottle and fill it up with the passionfruit guava orange juice to use as a mixer throughout the day. I would then use the ice from our cooler that our kind steward kept full and make my room rum drink. I would keep the water bottle full of juice on ice throughout the day. If we were going to ports, I would bring the water bottle full of juice, a small cooler full of ice and two small rum runners filled with coconut rum. We saved a ton of money in ports by doing this.

We went to bed, excited to be visiting Grand Turk again and having better knowledge of the options available to us this time. We decided to try, for the first time (lots of firsts on this cruise), room service breakfast. We put in for 2 bagels, 2 salmon, 2 cream cheese, coffee for 2 and 2 milk.

After hearing all the different and funny combinations of things that people would end up with for breakfast, I was curious to see what we would get. We put in for a time slot of between 6am-6:45am.

GRAND TURK

About an hour before we even got near GT, I could hear some sort of hydraulic noise and rumbling and I knew it wouldnt be long before we would be alongside. Then we could hear the thrusters and could tell that we were here! WE MADE IT!

We got up and waited for room service. After 6:45 passed I figured, hey, they are probably really busy since it's our first port day. But by 7:00am the Andrew called room service to check on our status and wouldnt you know it...they showed up at the door. Ha! We just needed a little patience.

Here is what we got

Would you care for a cup of coffee? Why sure! I would love some!

Ok, enough of that. Let's get off this ship and hit the sand! We were in port with Holland America's Westerdam. As we walked alongside the folks getting off the HAL ship, the Andrew could not resist telling them what a fine dam ship they were sailing on. SMH!

It's an island cat! We saw a few while we were here.

We knew that we wanted to begin our day at Jack's Shack so we made our way through Margaritaville and crossed the bridges on our way to the beach.

Keep on walking past Local Village (we came back later). Be mindful, as you walk, that it is easier to walk in packed sand by the water than the loose sand up higher. Also, be aware of the little boats they have parked along the shore that you step ON the ropes in the sand and not OVER them. Yes, I tripped over one.

290_zps51a8f7ec.jpg

And FYI, they offer free shots at Local Village also

The Andrew asked Janet for a lime for his beer and she asked him "Are you ready to drink your beer?" he looked perplexed and said "yes".

She pulled out this contraption

318_zpsfe88d717.jpg

If you ever see this contraption...be ready to drink your beer. She slammed it down and immediately the beer begins to foam and it's time to chug.

See the foam?

Then I noticed a rainbow! RAINBOW!!!!

And of course Smokey4U and girlie

339_zpsef0fa39d.jpg

Folks are gettin rowdy. The Andrew tried everything in his power to get arrested so that he could just stay in Grand Turk. I dont think that he thought out the entire legal processes involved though.

343_zpsc77cbf1a.jpg

And penguin started pole dancin

340_zps8bd86aea.jpg

Perhaps we should move on to wreak havoc on Local Village. Shall we? Yep, you know the way. Just stumble back from the way you came.

The Westerdam was having a lifeboat drill

347_zps9869c7e7.jpg

We made it to Local Village and found a bartender to get the Andrew another bucket of beer that we shared with others. 6 for around $16.00 from what he remembers. yeah...short term memory loss.

My apologies for the bird flipping. It happens a great deal and trying to see these little thumbnail pics as I post is a bit difficult with my failing eyesight. The Andrew just says he is saying he thinks you are number 1.

So, I used to take pole dancing classes for fitness so anytime I see a pole and consume adult beverages I may start dancin...and I did. And I even got some tips!

I decided to go swimming a bit because the water was just so blue and it was soooo hot outside. The water was a little cold to start with but very easy to get used to.

On the way back to the ship we wanted to stop at Margaritaville and also the shops to get souveniers to take home.

I have a great love of signs. Especially funny ones or ones with double entendre's. Look at this one!

Margaritaville was also dressed up for the holidays also

Here are some Margaritaville pics sort of close to the time to be back onboard. While the atmosphere seemed like a bunch of fun, the prices were a bit high for my blood. So, our time here was limited and we didnt buy anything.

409_zps86ee554e.jpg

We made it back onboard in a timely manner. In my opinion, a 2pm departure from a port as amazing as Grand Turk really limits you in your activities. I would love to explore the island more but am not really comfortable venturing far from the ship on my own and the excursions that Carnival offered were a bit pricey for my budget.

This is neat. You can see the Westerdam from lido.

412_zps35cd54c0.jpg

About this time we realized we failed to get something to eat from Local Village. Oops. So I went to the grill and got us a burger to split. I loaded it up with all sorts of yummy condiments.

415_zps97ed4faf.jpg

He really really really liked it

At 3pm they had Fun in the Sun Pool games. This game involved a relay of some sorts involving swimming with a towel. After our silly activites at Grand Turk...I would have drowned.

441_zps6b6c7ef0.jpg

In this pic, it looks like Smokey4U is threatening to punch the Andrew but in reality, he was blocking the sun. He is supposed to stay out of direct sunlight on his face since the house fire almost 2 years ago. The areas that were grafted can get a bit patchy otherwise. This pic is hilarious though.

Cruise toes

445_zpsb3448f70.jpg

We went down to the cabin and I thought someone might actually lay still enough for a nap

446_zps04919aef.jpg

Nope! He was up and ready for an early dinner. But it wasnt yet dinner time so we stopped by the sushi stand. It was really good. But unfortunately it is the only time we made it there. We also got a whole bottle of sake (warmed) for only $13.80 gratuity included. This is the best onboard bottle deal I have seen.

If you look closely behind the sake you can see the photographers setting up for the Olde Tyme photos. And, we gave it a shot. Take one inebriated Andrew, add hard of hearingness, props that involve guns and you get one frustrated photographer and hilarity.

We checked in on the dinner line and it was still out the door so we headed up to lido and I finally got a picture of the lido tree while it was green. (It changed colors)

453_zps3e3efaec.jpg

The dinner line was non-existant so we headed to the dining room and asked for a table for two. Yes, it was a table for two kind of night. Of course there wasnt one available at that time though so we got this fancy flashy dinner thingy.

454_zps524f34fe.jpg

And we went to the atrium bar to enjoy some cocktails until our table was ready. We met this lovely lady and told her about our UN-wedding plans for HMC and we left her utterly confused.

456_zps95537188.jpg

We are all ready to eat

457_zps3c627d94.jpg

The wait in total was about 20 minutes and after about 15 minutes someone needed to go smoke a cigarette. So he left me in the atrium bar while he went up to lido. I wasnt sure if the dinner flashy thingy machine would work on lido so I stayed put. And wouldnt ya know it, the thing started flashing not long after he left me. I told the bartendress to tell him to proceed to the dining room when he returned. I went to be seated and waited for him to arrive. I told the hostess to look for a tall guy with dark sunglases to show up.

My dinner partner is semi-present

461_zpseb863ee1.jpg

And I am sort of amused...sort of. She's got a knife!!!!

This dinner service was the worst we received on this cruise. I think it had to do with the time we arrived because showtime started right when we got there and we didnt even get water until after that was done. I also got bopped in the back of the head with a tray. Dinner service was a bit off and lengthy, which made it especially difficult to try to corrall the Andrew from wandering and visiting other tables. It wasnt painful though and all the food came out hot and delicious.

showtime

470_zps7aec6553.jpg

Not sure what happened

474_zps60b0dbc7.jpg

These folks were at the table next to us and the Andrew demanded that they take a pic with me because he loved the guys shirt. They were all members of a Corvette Car Club (wrap your a$$ in fiberglass)

476_zps4c5c888d.jpg

I had the fried shrimp (bready) & shark languistino roll (YUM) for starters

This guy came around with these nifty shot glasses that I had read about. I wanted to hold out for the blue ones but decided to go ahead and get the amber one and clear one. The shot was called Scooby Doo and it was ok. I really just wanted the shot glasses.

480_zpsc17cb3e4.jpg

Then our entrees came out.

He and I both got the lamb dish and he added the pork loin dish

Pork

482_zps187d66b0.jpg

After dinner we went to the cabin to refresh our drinks (like we needed anymore drinks) and our towel animal was a...brontosaurus? A sauraus of some sort??? Creative little steward ninja we have.

483_zps5f6d863f.jpg

Since it was the night before our UN-wedding, I broke out the bachelorette sunglasses.

484_zps9880174e.jpg

There was a little kid about two years old that was dancing his little heart out on lido deck. We had met his father earlier in the cruise (Darell with a D) and his wife. This kid made the entire lido deck crack up. I laughed so hard I cried and my face started hurting.

Then we saw that Music Degree was playing on lido deck stage and wandered over that way.

Tonight was the lido deck party at 10:30 and we were still going strong. We should be asleep.

LETS WOBBLE! AND CUPID SHUFFLE! AND ELECTRIC SLIDE! AND MACARENA!!!
