jerrymac Posted May 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2005 Victoria was a bartender at the Atrium Bar on the Legend Thanksgiving 2004 cruise, she was the whole reason everyone was there, she packed them in, women and men, most marvelous personality! She was from Lithuiania. The last night we said goodbye and she came running around the bar to give the wife and I a hug and kiss, she cried! mc'smom Posted May 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2005 On the Victory in Jan. 2005 It would have to be Lucy from Camp Carnival, my daughter loved her !!! And Lucy was married to the ship's accountant ... Her stories of trying to become an Australian citizen were amazing... :)
halos Posted May 31, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2005 from the Miracle, June 2004...Oley and Mahela, (sp?) our wait staff in the dining room. We fell in love with them. :)
BrendaB1 Posted May 31, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2005 Mungi from Indonesia-waiter on Inspiration & then moved to Victory. We ran into him again on Conquest. Hopefully our paths will cross again someday. Best waiter I have ever had.
jckvpa0 Posted May 31, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 31, 2005 Keith in the cigar bar on the Conquest. Always had a smile, and had a wealth of info.

MamaParrotHead Posted May 31, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 31, 2005 Angela, bartender in the Bronx Bar on the Valor, from Romania. We took pictures together, exchanged email addresses and are gathering some things she needs but can't find for a small care package to send soon. She's got some great advice, wicked sense of humor and interesting perspective on both people and world events.
Elaine515 Posted May 31, 2005 #9 Share Posted May 31, 2005 ... Good question... I have two.... Erich was on the Carnival Triumph 2 years in a row when we did Eastern then Western as the Casino Manger. We enjoy the casino and he just made it that much better, always a hello, how are you, free drinks now and then and lots of Carnival Players Club souvenirs at the end of the week... Thanx Erich. Shawn.... the Cruise Director... I don't remember which ship but I was a bit skeptical when I found out that we had a female CD. She is fantastic... also always with a smile, hello, how are you, all over the ship mingling with the passengers and laughing all the time. One of the nicest things I liked about her was that one afternoon she held an informal "meet and greet" and ask her all the questions you wanted... My parents are taking the Spirit to Alaska in July and are fortunate to have Shawn as their CD once again.... Elaine :)

Are we there yet? Posted May 31, 2005 #11 Share Posted May 31, 2005 Ours would have to be Rankaj and Jeffrey, our 2 waiters on Victory. They made us feel so welcome whenever we saw them, dining room or not, and always a big smile on their faces. Also Hector, one of the shopping guys ( from Cuba) always had a big hello whenever he saw us.
DMgirl Posted May 31, 2005 #12 Share Posted May 31, 2005 Panji & Elena, dining room on the Triumph and Deyana from Bulgaria on the Triumph (bar waitress). She was the best! Very nice, great personality, she really knew how to keep people happy. Actually, the whole crew on the Triumph was great! These are the 3 that stood out though. musicmansmom Posted May 31, 2005 #13 Share Posted May 31, 2005 that would be mario and atilla our dinner waiters on the spirit going to the glacier bay this may. they were great and so much fun. but the most memorable and missed by me is Septi my cabin steward. he was fantastic and never missed any request any of us asked for to make our cruise more enjoyable. he always had a large smile on his face and never complained of being over worked and tired "which i knew he was". i was very happy too leave him a large tip when i left . all of the staff work so hard for us and i have not met one yet that lets you know about it on any carnival ship. Cotton Posted May 31, 2005 #14 Share Posted May 31, 2005 On my Sensation cruise, I was roaming around one day and passed a waiter I recognized from two Holiday cruises. I smiled, and he said, "I know I've seen you on the Holiday." It was kinda funny. His name is Julius Cesar (yep, correct spelling), and he was my waiter on two Holiday cruises. As I was walking away, I heard him say to a co-worker, "That nice lady and I remembered each other from the Holiday.":D On a cruise in the 80's, my friend and I spent a lot of time with the captain - another story for another time....? Bunkie103 Posted May 31, 2005 #15 Share Posted May 31, 2005 On the Triumph in 2003 our wait staff was Joseph from Slovakia and Kenroy from Grenana...they were both wonderful. Our cabin steward was Delia and I think she was from Antigua. They just made our trip so very special. :D

sugar n spice Posted May 31, 2005 #17 Share Posted May 31, 2005 Renaldo, our head waiter on the Glory, W. Carib., May 2004. He was always a step ahead, had a fantastic sense of humor, very personable...never a lacking or dull moment with Renaldo. We also had an excellent room steward and I am ashamed that I can't remember his name right now. I guess I need to start writing things, dates and names down. Ugh! My memory goes on vacation without me sometimes!!

bcc99 Posted June 1, 2005 #19 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Cecilia and Jeffrey, our team waiters on the Pride. They were extremely gracious when we lingered too long over dessert, and Cecilia was wonderfully notorious for making extra plates appear--petit fours, cheese, an extra lobster tail, all kinds of goodies. "No problem, I bring!" We also loved Sunastra (Sunny!) in the Monet Dining Room on the Conquest. Anytime somebody mentioned going to the Cezanne Restaurant for a quick bite, Sunny always smiled and said, "oh, no...you come back and see us in the Monet." I've always had waiters who like to recommend the best dishes, tell us about life on the ship, talk about their home countries and their families...such wonderful and warm-hearted people. And they're great co-conspirators when you want to discreetly order second (or third!) appetizers or entrees. :D
BelizePlease Posted June 1, 2005 #20 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Vasil (head waiter), Anton (Assistant) and Maycol (drinks) in the Truffles Dining Room on the Legend. The best we've EVER had. Guest Crazeecat5 Posted June 1, 2005 #23 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Veronica was the casino host on the Legend when we sailed her. She was wonderful to my DH and I. Took a liking to us...guess it was all of the $$$ we spent in the casino! She moved on to the Inspiration and is now on the Conquest. We still email each other and hope to see each other again some day soon. Sheryl
