logan25 Posted December 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 25, 2012 Sailing on the Jewel next month. Trying to schedule a private tour which can begin as early as 9 a.m. The itinerary has the ship in port from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Is that ship time or local time? The ship sails from Tampa which is on EST.
Mark_K Posted December 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 25, 2012 Sailing on the Jewel next month. Trying to schedule a private tour which can begin as early as 9 a.m. The itinerary has the ship in port from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Is that ship time or local time? The ship sails from Tampa which is on EST.The times listed in itineraries are always ship's time. The real question, is whether ship time will be changed to match local time. Anyway, you should be safe to make a 9:00 excursion either way, since you will have either one hour (ship changes to CST) or two hours (ship stays on EST) after arriving at port to get to the excursion. Trekker954 Posted December 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 25, 2012 Just sailed the Jewel Nov 29th. The captain changed to local time. It will be notated in your cruise compass and the CD will announce it numerous times.
Nado44 Posted December 25, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 25, 2012 Sailed Jewel from Tampa on 12/17. The Captain had everyone turn the clock back one hour prior to arriving to Cozumel.
