Nassau for a day

I have business in Nassau annually, so I've stayed in a few places and visited a bunch of the Island, though far from complete.

Atlantis is OK, probably expensive as everything there is over priced, and in my past experience they try and stick cruise guests at what's not the nicest beach on the property, lots of walking.

Sandals is nice, maybe 3.5 bordering 4 stars, but I was there this year right after Sandy, so there was some damage they were still dealing with, and I'm fairly certain they'll do cruise guests/day passes, contact in advance. Breezes might be an option, I've never been there.

I've also stayed at the Sheraton, I had low expectations and while they were slower to recover after Sandy, it was better than what I expected after reading reviews. OK pool, decent beach, overpriced food.

Depending on price, Sandals seemed to me to be the best value of where I've been.

If you have a LONG stop in Nassau, I'd head to Exuma, there is at least one tour boat company who makes the trip, it's about 90 min each way, but worth it IMHO if you can get on the boat by 9am and don't have to be back til 6 or so.

Have fun!
