Rare Familygoboston Posted January 6, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2013 Most FLL have free shuttles from FLL airport but not MIA. You can hop in a cab, it's about $90 with tip. There are several "shuttle services"; I've never used them but have googled them and learned 2 things: 1) they are not that much cheaper than a cab 2) you cannot purchase a roundtrip from Miami to pick you back up at the Port Everglades. There is some kind of rule to protect the FLL cabbies business, so you can only purchase a one way. (The exception to this is the cruise lines transfer packages, they can do it. But of course they won't take you to your hotel; only to the ship) One thing to look into, and I'm not sure if it even exists?? If there is a cheap shuttle or public bus service to the FLL airport from MIA, AND your hotel has a free shuttle from the FLL airport, you could go to the FLL airport and take your hotle's shuttle to the hotel. This could potentially save some money even though it would require 2 transfers and a bit more of your time. Also search the Embarkation ports boards on CC, often times people have asked this same question and you will get the answers there. Good luck!!
