No, it doesn't pass the Statue. Once you embark Summit, head up to the Aqua Spa Cafe for lunch and sit on the port side. You will have a great view of the Statue and Downtown Manhattan.

 

If you are coming into Bayonne, Summit will back into the pier, and you can view it from the Sky Lounge.

Seeing the statue and Manhattan are one of the nice features of sailing out of NJ, besides being able to drive there in one day instead of flying in.

 

Another not to miss during the sail away is to be on a top deck as it sails under the bridge. Have a wind breaker on hand as it does get rather cool and windy depending on the time of year.
