Nassau or Freeport for party/snorkel cruise?

My 25 year old daughter and I are cruising out of Charleston In late Feb. and would like to spend one day just hanging out at a beach do a catamaran snorkel /party cruise in one port.

Can anyone recommend which port would be better to just hang out at a low key beach and which one we should do the catamaran.

Both party boats I have found run about $60. Per person for 4.5 hours on catamaran with snorkeling, lunch, open bar and beach and party time.

Is the beach within walking distance from port in Nassau a good place to relax and swim?

I appreciate any tips. Thanks

Check out boozecruisebahamas.com They run the booze cruise /snorkeling in nassau. I know they are going on dry dock at some point, but I don't know the dates.

BTW..all party cruises in the bahamas require you to NOT drink until the after the snorkeling part of the trips is over. No drunks in the water.

There is a public beach within walking distance of the port in Nassau (junkanoo).. there is a tiki bar.. but no snorkeling.

There's tons of info regarding this beach here on the forum.. do a search..
