sistermags Posted January 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2013 At long last we're ready to book the cruise we've wanted to do for so long. We've decided to go all out and book a balcony cabin,or,as listed a grand suite.I would like to know where these suites are.Which deck?front or back of the ship?I realise there aren't many and I would like to see some photos or video before I book.I've searched online and can't seem to find any information about them. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
CruiserBruce Posted January 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2013 Have you looked for deckplans on the Thomson website? You will also find more info on the Thomson board here on Cruise Critic.

sistermags Posted January 20, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted January 20, 2013 Although there's a deck plan I can't see any grand suites.Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. The photos on the Thomson site don't really show the balcony area either.I don't think there's very much information on balcony cabins, and as I'm ready to book I would like to see the outside area. Not sure why you can't find the Grand Suites. The cabins are all colour-coded. Click on the below link and then click on a deck, such as Pegasus Deck. Just below the image of the deck, it gives you a colour-coded key of all of the cabins. http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise/ships/thomson-dream-deck-plans.html
crafty sue Posted January 21, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2013 I don't think the Dream has Balcony cabins - I tried to find some and it was the reason I Booked RC instead

sistermags Posted January 21, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted January 21, 2013 Thanks all.I have found them and I think there are six in total. Now all I want to know IS which side of the boat is best for getting the sun? Oh,one other question, after the weeks cruise, which hotel should I choose in Barbados,Turtle Beach or Ocean Two?Which has the best food?
CruiserBruce Posted January 21, 2013 #9 Share Posted January 21, 2013 There isn't a one best side of the ship. It moves. When it is docked, there is no way to predict which side will be to the dock, or have the best sun.
