Allure of the Seas Questions and Info...

Hello Everyone,

My fiancée and I have just booked our Honeymoon cruise on the Allure of the Seas for an Eastern Caribbean trip next January. We are both really excited. We have sailed in the past on Carnival and this will be our first time with Royal Caribbean. We are looking to all you folks out in Cruise Critic would to help us with some information about Royal Caribbean and the Allure.

What are some of the major differences we will notice between CCL and RCCL? Pros and Cons...

What is some of the best parts of Allure? What are some things that we should make sure that we do and stuff that could possibly be avoided?

We’re just looking for any information, tip, tricks etc that will be helpful.

Thanks!

You have made a great choice for your honeymoon!!

Having cruised (extensively) on both Carnival and RCCL, this is my opinion.

We liked the food on Carnival and we liked the food on RCCL.

Carnival is extremely smoky which is why we stopped going with them.

RCCL tends to have more of a WOW factor in general, and especially on the Allure!!

Things we loved doing on the Allure:

1. Watching the Aquatheatre, the wake, and people on the Boardwalk from our Boardwalk Balcony (something unique to Oasis and Allure).

2. Having breakfast (free) at Johnny Rockets on the Boardwalk.

3. Enjoying the peaceful and beautiful Solarium.

4. Seeing the amazing Aquatheatre shows.

5. Seeing the likewise amazing ice shows.

6. Making a (free) video postcard at On The Air.

7. My DH loved the zipline (I was scared to do it).

8. Enjoying the (free) Dreamworks Character Breakfast (even though we are in our 60's)

9. Going to the "secret" sun deck on Deck 14 Forward.

10. Wandering through the crowd at the Captain's Party in the Promenade.

11. Playing trivia in the Schooner Bar.

12. Walking on the Deck 5 jogging track.

I'm sure there is lots more to see and do, and I'm sure you will have a wonderful cruise!!
