banshee72 Posted February 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Can you leave the ship....come back for lunch and then leave again?
BND Posted February 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2013 You can walk off and on the ship repeatedly and no one will care. Treat it like a hotel. ETA, Man, the time stamp is screwed up still. I was actually third to post, but it put me second.

DrD Posted February 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Be aware in ports where you tender it isn't really practical as there's often a line for tenders, especially coming back, and the ride itself adds time. So going back and forth more than once is a big time suck in tendered ports.
gelo7 Posted February 19, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Yes, you can.
iamsunnysarah Posted February 19, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2013 We did this in St. Maarten last cruise- Orient Bay in the morning, late lunch on ship, then off to Maho to watch the planes come in. Tight, be aware of your time on any island. Next time we visit, we will choose one or the other, we were a little ambitious and luckily it worked out for us.. 1cat4jan Posted February 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Yes, you can get off as many times as you would like, but each time you do, you will have that long walk back to the ship, and you may have to stand in line to show your seapass card to security - or stand in line to scan your seapass card - or stand in line for the xray equipment. Mid-day, it's not all that time consuming, but it can be - if you run into a large tour group coming back. The only times we've done it is when there is shopping/bars near the dock and we have alot of time to kill after our morning tour.
OCruisers Posted February 19, 2013 #9 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Yes, as often as you wish. Sometimes, as others have mentioned, doing this can be a "time sponge" ... especially in tender ports. LuLu ~~~~
Dayenu Posted February 19, 2013 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Can you leave the ship....come back for lunch and then leave again? Yes, we've done that! Came back for lunch after a 1/2 day tour, and decided to go ashore to check out the souvenir stores :p
banshee72 Posted February 19, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Thanks all. None of the 4 ports do you have to tender in so it might be a little less of a time suckage.
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted February 19, 2013 #12 Share Posted February 19, 2013 I took the liberty of looking at your itinerary. Here's the pier at St Maarten. We reversed in. You can get an idea of the walk involved. St Kitts San Juan you park in town but have that walk again...... Labadee : lunch is provided ashore. sky0000547 Posted February 19, 2013 #13 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Yup get off and on as many times as you like just make sure you have your seapass card. I did go back to the ship and have lunch and then back on shore again. Depending on the port of call, it could be a trek to get back.
