njmudd Posted March 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2013 Hello Hope you can help. We are looking to go on the celebrity equinox which docks overnight in Venice. I would love to wake up in the morning and have a view of the city. Does anyone know if the ship pulls in forward or backs in to berth 110? Much appreciated. Nigel. CathyCruises Posted March 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2013 Unfortunately you are not going to see much from either side of the boat. The port area is the least attractive area of the city, and the iconic Venice view is not visible IIRC. But someone else may have better info than I do. Matcodixon Posted March 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2013 When we were there in August, all the ships we saw during our 4 days in Venice were docked bow in. Might just have been a coincidence..
njmudd Posted March 10, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Thank you for your help. I'll give starboard a go and see what works out for the best!
-Lew- Posted March 10, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Thank you for your help. I'll give starboard a go and see what works out for the best! That may or may not work for you...we'll docked both bow in and stern in. You should know that at berth 110, ships at berth between you and the city could block your view. If you are in a starboard cabin, get up on one of the open decks during sail away so you don't miss some of the best views. Enjoy your cruise...
